Academia Journal of Educational Research (e-ISSN: 2619-9351) aims to present scientific studies in the field of Educational Sciences to scientists and contribute to science. In addition, it aims to bring new perspectives to different fields of education with an interdisciplinary approach.

Our journal, which is independent, double blind peer-reviewed, open access and online, accepts academic studies written in Turkish and English. The studies submitted to the journal should not have been published before or should not be in the evaluation process on another platform. Scientific studies that comply with the writing rules and the scope of the journal are sent to at least two referees who are experts in their fields for scientific evaluation.

The Editorial Board follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) criteria and carries out the evaluation process by taking into account the comments of the referees.

Article Application Requirements
Original, unpublished scientific studies in the field of educational sciences, which are not in the evaluation process on another platform, and whose content and submission have been approved by the author or authors, are accepted for evaluation.

Readership
Target audience; academicians working in the field of educational sciences, public and private institution employees, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, researchers, teachers and administrators.

Publication Period
Academia Journal of Educational Research is published twice a year, in April and October.

Font Family: Palatino Linotype, article title should be written in 12 point size, Main headings and Text in 11 point size. Each study should consist of the following main headings;

Title

The title of the article should clearly reflect its content and be comprehensive. The first letter of each word except for conjunctions should be written in capital letters.

Abstract


It should clearly and briefly reflect the purpose, scope, method, results and original value of the study.
Keywords: At least 3 and at most 5 keywords reflecting the integrity of the study should be determined.

Introduction

The scientific equivalent of the study topic, its importance, research problem and objectives, theoretical framework should be detailed in the introduction section.

Method

Research design, universe sample/study group, data collection tools, validity and reliability, data analysis, ethics committee approval of the study should be detailed in the method section.

Findings

The findings obtained in the study; should be explained with relevant tables, figures, graphics or pictures that support the purpose and problem of the study and preserve its integrity.

Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations

In light of the importance of the study, the findings obtained should be discussed with the literature and author comments. The main ideas that emerged in the light of the discussions should be explained in the conclusion section. Suggestions appropriate to the discussion and conclusion of the study should be made. It should also include suggestions for future studies that will contribute to the literature and for applications in the field.

Acknowledgements

Thanks should be given to individuals or institutions that have made small contributions to the research.

References

References should be prepared in accordance with APA 6 referencing principles.

Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Academia Journal of Educational Research attaches importance to the integrity of academic content, publication ethics and the process, as well as protecting the research integrity of authors. In this context, it has adopted the guidelines and policies published by the Council of Higher Education and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as its principle in order to achieve and maintain international publication standards. In Academia Journal of Educational Research, it is of great importance that all stakeholders (authors, readers and researchers, publisher, referees and editors) comply with the standards regarding ethical principles in all publication processes implemented.

Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

  1. The studies submitted by the author(s) must be original.
  2. In the event that the author(s) use different sources, they must refer and/or quote completely and correctly.
  3. Persons who do not contribute to the study should not be indicated as authors.
  4. Any situations and relationships that may constitute a conflict of interest in all studies submitted for publication must be explained.
  5. When requested from the author(s), raw data and information regarding their work should be kept ready to be sent to the editorial board and scientific board.
  6. Author(s) should indicate whether their work requires Ethics Committee Approval. Ethics Committee Approval should be uploaded to the system, and the date and approval numbers should be included in the article.
  7. Author(s) should not submit their work to more than one journal.
  8. If the author(s) notice an error in their work during the evaluation process, the journal editor is obliged to correct or withdraw it.


Editors' Ethical Duties and Responsibilities

Editors should have the ethical duties and responsibilities specified in the guidelines and policies published by the Council of Higher Education and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These duties and responsibilities are summarized below.

Editors' Relations with Readers

Editors are obliged to take into account feedback from readers, researchers and practitioners about published work and to take the necessary responses and actions.

Editors' Relations with Authors

  • Editors make their decisions about the article based on the original value of the article, the journal's objectives and ethical rules.
  • The article should include articles that have high original value and have been prepared in accordance with the journal's objectives and ethical rules in the evaluation process.
  • The editor and section editor should take into account positive referee opinions unless there is a significant justification.
  • They should respond to requests and opinions from authors with feedback.
  • Editors' Relations with Referees
  • The referees to be assigned should be selected in accordance with the subject of the article.
  • They should take care to ensure that there is no conflict of interest or conflict of interest between the referee and the authors.
  • They are responsible for guiding the referees during the article evaluation process and providing the information they request.
  • The editor is obliged to conceal the identity of the author and referee through blind refereeing.
  • Referees should take the necessary warnings and precautions to ensure that the article is evaluated in a timely, impartial and scientific manner.
  • They should make an effort to increase the number of referees serving as referees for our journal.


Editors' Relations with the Advisory Board

  • Editors should take into account the opinions and suggestions of the advisory board regarding the articles.
  • Relationships of Editors with Journal Owners and Publishers
  • Editors' decisions about the article must be independent of the journal owner and publisher.
  • Editors' submission of the article for publication.
  • Editors are responsible for observing the journal's publishing principles, journal objectives and international standards in articles to be published in the journal.
  • Protection of personal data
  • Editors are responsible for not transferring the personal information of the article authors to third parties without their consent.

Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. Accepting to evaluate only studies related to the field of expertise,
  2. Evaluating with objectivity and confidentiality,
  3. Using the studies they review after they are published,
  4. Evaluating impartially without considering nationality, gender, religious beliefs, political beliefs and commercial concerns,
  5. Using constructive and polite language in evaluation statements, not making personal comments,
  6. Evaluating the study in a timely manner

Academia Journal of Educational Research does not request any fees for article submission, reviewing and editing processes.

Academia Journal of Educational Research does not pay any fees to authors, reviewers, editors and editorial board members.
